Mikkola Blakksonen (Norway) - Former Norway Midfielder. He played in Lillestrom, Moss, Brann and Valerenga. He had 5 games in the Norway national team. After retirement he become manager of Valerenga Oslo. After four years of work he got a proposition to work for the best norwegian team at the time - Rosenborg Trondheim.

Blakksonen worked two years in Rosenborg. He won two Norway Championships and played in Champions League and UEFA Cup.

SEASON 00/01 - CHAMPIONSHIP MANAGER 00/01 - ROSENBORG TRONDHEIM

Mikkola Blakksonen was appointed as Rosenborg Trondheim manager in June 2000. Since in Norway the league is played in the spring-autumn system, the team was in the middle of the season. Rosenborg is always a favorite to win everything in the domestic competitions plus they are expected to play in the group stage of Champions League.

Norwegian Premier Division 2000 - WINNER
When I took the job club was doing all right in the league, but the scores did not look very confident. Rosenborg has a really strong squad so they should dominate the league. So far after 13 games they lost 5 times drawn 3 and win 5. In my first game I play home with Molde. The score is 7;2 and Rosenborg is really showing nice style and a lot of potential. In the first ten games in the league under my managment team gets all the possible points.

I did not manage the team in this competition. Rosenborg was knocked out in the third round after 0:1 defeat with Lillehamer.

UEFA Champions League 00/01 - Group Stage
Not the easy way for Norwegian teams to play in the Champions League. First we have to beat two teams in qualifaing rounds. In the 2nd qual round we face Red Star Belgrade from Yugoslavia.
