Championship Manager 00/01 - PART II

After grabing that 8th place I was given another year at Lechia. I don't really know what whould season bring but it might be tough. Loan player came back to their clubs and sure I whould miss Fabisiak who was last season team MVP. Board gives me no money for transfers as the club is sinking in debts, so only free players and loans might be available. This time I sure will be fighting to avoid relegation but since I was 8th last season the expetations from the board are a bit higher than that.

In all the season team has a ups and downs. They win 2-3 games then lose some. In the League Cup Lechia get to the third round were it's defeted by Odra (0:1, 1:2). In the FA CUP we also get to the third, but there we are not able to beat Widzew (1:2). Most of the season Lecha is in the table somwhere between 15th and 9th place, mostly 11th. Tomasz Michalski has a great season, Sebastian Mila is developing decent but I have a lot of trouble with the strikers. Pantelic is the half player he used to be in the last season, Florek is trying but has a lot ups and downs and Moskal does not exist. Michalski scores as much as he can, Mila, Zienczuk and Preis try to put some up to, but since strikes are almost goalless, it's hard to win games. I did not noticed any longer winning streaks, but I got two losing. First cames at the end of the year. We don't get a win for nine games, mostly losing. And another one is a nail to the grave. Last six games of the season turns out to be 3 draws and 3 loses. That pushed us to the 18th place and get relegated from the league. I don't feel like a could do much more with the team, every change I tried was making things even worse. Fans were standing behind my back so the board had no currage to fire me, but after a relegation they finally did - I whould probably resigned anyway.
